SILK
Silk fibres are based on a protein substance called fibroin, which is close to the composition of human skin and thanks to the natural gloss (the fibre is the brightest of the natural fibres), silk fabrics are well supported on the skin in general and especially by people with allergies.
The silk fabric is soft and strong, has a wonderful sheen and is insulating against both cold and heat. Silk can take up to 40% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or losing its insulating qualities.
It does not crease easily and due to the composition of the yarn it lends itself to be coloured in the most beautiful colours. The composition and characteristics of silk fabrics do not cause allergies in the skin. Silk fabrics have reduced electrical and thermal conductivity. This means that garments or lingerie made of natural silk create a certain wearing comfort.
